Our Focus

Neil Mallet and Christie Williamson

Marmalade has created Ginger to add more flavour to all areas of new media. We build on Marmalade’s existing reputation for producing ground-breaking work that results in significant behavioural change.

Above all believe in the power of a great idea. Far more than a digital innovator or social media “buzz” generator, Ginger is a change maker.

Social + digital + experiential

Neil Mallet – Executive Creative Director

“Communication is about change. There is no guarantee that just because an approach has worked in the past that it will continue to do so in the future.

For me it’s always been all about the idea. After Creative Director roles at Mojo Partners and George Patterson Partners, I decided to take the leap and formed Marmalade with Victor Maree. What a great idea that proved to be. Working previously with clients such as Queensland

Justice Department and Queensland Tourism set us up to build great relationships with VicRoads, DHS, DPI and Metlink. The list goes on.

Now we’re investing in Ginger. Rising to the challenge and spicing up new media, it sure sounds good to me.”

Christie Williamson – Brand Director

“Living in an era of profound global change can be a little unsettling for some. How we communicate and consume media is shifting at a rapid rate and things are irreversibly changing. I believe it’s really important to have your finger on the global pulse in order to stay ahead of the curve.

In this area, I can’t help thinking I’ve been a little luckier than most. All the companies I’ve worked with have taught me never to be afraid to chart new territories. After working in account service at Publicis Mojo and Marmalade, I joined a Canadian based global franchise organisation that pioneered the ‘full-service junk removal’ category. Following this, I broadened my horizons, by spending time immersed in the digital world as the Director of Community Engagement for the global Canadian Tourism (CTC) account at Radar DDB. Here the CTC received critical acclaim for their bold social media model. Over the years, my experience also includes accounts such Cadbury, Heinz, Metlink, Hertz and Diana Ferrari.

Now I am back in Australia, as Brand Director of Ginger. I am excited about the work we are starting to do as change makers; creating category breaking campaign ideas.”
